FAQ

The answers before you ask.

The things people usually want to know before working with us, all in one place. Still stuck on something?

Ask us directly
Can I hire you for just one service?
Of course. Every service can be hired on its own, you don't need to bundle everything together.
Not sure which service you need?
Most people start that way. Describe what you're trying to achieve and we'll point you to the right service, or combination of services.
How much will my project cost?
There's no fixed price list. Every quote is based on the real scope of your project, not a generic package. Tell us what you need and we'll come back with a fair, honest price.
How does payment work?
For direct projects we ask 50% upfront via Payoneer to begin, with the balance on completion. Prefer payment protection? Hire us through Upwork, where funds sit in escrow until you approve the work. Upwork's service fee isn't included in our quote.
Will I work with you directly?
Always. Every project is handled in person by the specialist doing the work, the designer or the SEO strategist. No account managers, no outsourced contractors in between.
How long does a project take?
It depends on scope, a logo and a full website take different amounts of time. You'll get a realistic timeline with your quote, before any work begins.
Can I see examples of your work?
Yes. Both of our Upwork profiles are public and linked throughout this site, so you can review our history and client feedback before you reach out.
Do you maintain sites after launch?
Yes. Ongoing website management and support is one of our core services, not just a one-time handoff.
What is TwinCraft Studio, and what do you actually do?
TwinCraft Studio is a two-person design and growth studio run by two sisters who have freelanced since 2012. We cover six things under one roof: website design and development, brand and graphic design, SEO and GEO, product and packaging design, book design, and content writing. One side handles design, the other handles SEO and growth, so most projects can be finished start to finish without you hiring anyone else.
Where are you based, and can you work with clients in other countries?
We work remotely and take on clients worldwide. Almost everything (files, feedback, calls, delivery) happens online, so your time zone is not a problem. We are used to async work and will fit around your schedule for the few moments a live call actually helps.
What size of client do you take on?
Mostly solo founders, small businesses, authors, and e-commerce brands who want senior work without the overhead of an agency. We also take white-label and overflow work from other agencies and freelancers. If your project is a fit we will say so, and if it is not, we will tell you honestly rather than take it on.
How do I get started or get a quote?
Send us a message through the contact page or either of our Upwork profiles and tell us what you are trying to achieve, roughly when you need it, and any budget range you have in mind. We reply with questions if we need them, then a clear scope, timeline, and price before any work or payment begins.
Why don't you publish fixed prices or packages?
Because real projects are not one-size-fits-all. A five-page brochure site and a fifty-page store need very different work, and a fixed package would either overcharge the small job or under-deliver on the big one. We would rather quote your actual scope so the price is fair both ways.
What payment methods do you accept?
For direct work we invoice through Payoneer. If you prefer a platform with built-in protection, you can hire us on Upwork and pay through their escrow. For the TwinCraft SEO Suite plugin, checkout is handled by our payment provider and accepts cards and other common methods.
Do you offer payment protection or escrow?
Yes. Hire us through Upwork and your funds sit in escrow, released only when you approve the milestone. It costs a little more because of Upwork's service fee, but many first-time clients prefer it for peace of mind. Once we have worked together, most people move to direct invoicing.
Are there any hidden or ongoing fees?
No surprises. Your quote is the price for the agreed scope. Optional extras like ongoing website management, hosting set up on your behalf, or paid stock and fonts are always discussed and priced separately before you commit to them.
Do you offer refunds?
For services, we work in stages with your feedback, so problems get fixed before we move on rather than at the end. If something is genuinely not right we will make it right. For the TwinCraft SEO Suite plugin, refunds follow the policy shown at checkout.
What does the process look like from start to finish?
It is simple and direct. First we talk through what you need and agree on scope, timeline, and price. Then we begin, sharing work in stages so you can react early instead of at the very end. You give feedback, we refine, and once you approve we hand over the finished files or push the site live.
What do you need from me to get started?
A clear idea of what you want to achieve, any brand materials you already have (logo, colors, past work), examples of things you like, and access to accounts we will touch, such as your hosting or CMS, when the time comes. If you are missing some of that, we will guide you through it.
How many rounds of revisions are included?
Enough to get it right, within the agreed scope. We build in feedback stages rather than one big reveal at the end, which keeps revisions focused and avoids nasty surprises. Brand-new directions or work outside the original scope are quoted separately so it stays fair to everyone.
How will we communicate during the project?
However suits you best: chat, email, or the occasional call. We keep updates clear and jargon-free, and you always know what stage we are at and what happens next. Because you work with the specialist directly, nothing gets lost through a middle layer.
Can you work to a tight deadline?
Often, yes. Tell us the date you are working toward and we will be honest about whether it is realistic for the scope. If it is tight but doable we will say what we would need from you to hit it, and we will not promise a date we cannot keep.
What platforms do you build websites on?
Mainly WordPress and Shopify, the two platforms we know deepest after years of client work. WordPress suits content-heavy and service sites, Shopify suits stores that want a proven checkout. We will recommend whichever fits your goals, budget, and how hands-on you want to be afterward.
Do you both design and build, or just design?
Both. We design and build the site, so you get one team from first concept to live launch instead of handing a design to a separate developer and hoping it survives. That is also why the finished site actually matches what was designed.
Will my website work well on phones?
Yes. Every site we build is responsive and tested on phones, tablets, and desktops. Most visitors arrive on mobile, so we design for small screens as a first-class case, not an afterthought.
Will I be able to update the website myself afterward?
Yes. We build on platforms you can manage yourself and, at handover, show you how to edit pages, swap images, and publish posts. If you would rather not touch it at all, ongoing management is one of our services and we can look after it for you.
Do you redesign or fix existing websites, or only build new ones?
Both. We take on redesigns, rebuilds, and rescue jobs on existing sites as well as fresh builds. Send us the current site and we will tell you honestly whether it is better to improve what you have or start clean.
Do you handle hosting, domains, and going live?
We can set all of that up for you or work with the hosting and domain you already have. Where there are third-party costs, like hosting or premium plugins, those are yours and always made clear up front. We handle the technical side of launching so the switch to live is smooth.
Will my site be fast and pass Core Web Vitals?
Performance is part of how we build, not a bolt-on. We keep pages lean, optimize images, and avoid bloat so the site loads quickly and gives search engines the speed signals they reward. Real-world scores also depend on your hosting and any third-party tools you add later, and we will advise on those.
Do you write the website content, or do I?
Either. You can supply the copy, or our content writing service can write it for you, built around what your customers actually search for. If you write it yourself, we will still guide structure and headings so the pages are clear and search-friendly.
What graphic and brand design work do you offer?
Logos and full brand identities, social media and marketing graphics, ad creative, and the visual system that keeps everything consistent (colors, type, and layout). If it is a visual asset your business needs, it usually falls inside this service.
Do I get the editable source files and full ownership?
Yes. When the project is paid in full, the finished work and its ownership are yours, and we provide the file formats you need to use and edit it. We will tell you up front which source files are included for your specific project.
Can you refresh or match my existing brand?
Absolutely. We can evolve a brand you already have, keeping what works and tightening the rest, or extend it to new assets so everything looks like it belongs together. You do not have to start from zero to get a cleaner, more consistent look.
What file formats will I receive?
Whatever the job calls for: web-ready formats for online use, and print-ready formats for anything going to a printer. If you have a specific requirement, such as files for a particular platform or supplier, tell us and we will deliver exactly that.
What does product and packaging design include?
Design for physical products: packaging, labels, boxes, and the artwork that goes on them, prepared so a printer or manufacturer can actually produce it. We work to the sizes, dielines, and specifications your supplier needs so the final printed result matches the design.
Do you provide print-ready files for packaging?
Yes. We deliver files set up correctly for print, with the bleed, margins, and color setup a professional printer expects. If your printer has a template or spec sheet, send it over and we will build to it.
What book design services do you offer?
Cover design and interior layout for print and e-books, including formatting that meets the requirements of platforms like Amazon KDP. Whether you are self-publishing a first title or refreshing an existing one, we can handle the parts that make a book look professionally produced.
Can you format my book for Amazon KDP or other platforms?
Yes. We prepare interiors and covers to the trim sizes and file specs those platforms require, so upload and approval go smoothly. Tell us the platform and format you are targeting and we will match it.
What is the difference between SEO and GEO?
SEO (search engine optimization) is the work that helps your site rank on Google and other search engines. GEO (generative engine optimization) is the newer work of getting your business surfaced and cited inside AI answers, like ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity. We do both, because more people now start their search in an AI tool as well as on Google.
Why does GEO matter now?
Because a growing share of people ask an AI assistant before they ever open a search results page, and those tools recommend a short list of sources. If your business is not part of that list, a competitor is. Working on GEO early is an advantage while most businesses are still ignoring it.
How long until I see SEO results?
SEO is a compounding investment, not an overnight switch. Depending on your site and how competitive your market is, meaningful movement usually takes a few months, with the biggest gains later. Anyone promising instant top rankings is not being straight with you.
Can you guarantee a number one ranking on Google?
No, and you should be cautious of anyone who does. Google's results depend on hundreds of signals and your competitors' actions, none of which any provider controls. What we can do is the proven work that reliably improves your visibility over time, and report honestly on the results.
What does an SEO and GEO engagement include?
Typically a technical audit to fix what is holding the site back, on-page optimization of your key pages, content built around what people actually search for, and the structure and signals that help both Google and AI tools understand and cite you. We scope the exact mix to your site and goals.
Do you do local SEO?
Yes. If you serve a specific city or area, we optimize for local search so the right nearby customers find you, including the work that helps you appear in map and local results. It is a different focus from national SEO, and we tailor it to your location and service area.
Can you really get me mentioned in ChatGPT, Gemini, or Perplexity?
We do the work that makes it far more likely: clear, well-structured, trustworthy content that AI tools can read, understand, and cite, plus the signals that mark you as a credible source. No one controls what these tools say, but shaping how they see you is exactly what GEO is, and it is increasingly worth doing.
Do you provide reports so I can see progress?
Yes. You get clear updates on what was done and how key measures are moving, in plain language rather than a wall of numbers. The goal is for you to understand what is improving and why, not to drown you in a dashboard.
Do you follow Google's guidelines, or use risky shortcuts?
We only use sustainable, guideline-friendly methods. Shortcut tricks can cause a short spike and then a painful penalty, which is the opposite of what you are paying for. We build visibility that lasts.
What kind of content do you write?
Website copy, landing pages, blog posts and articles, and product descriptions, written to be clear to readers and findable in search. We focus on content that supports your actual business goals rather than filler for the sake of word count.
Is the content human-written or AI-generated?
It is written and edited by a person, with your brand voice and your reader in mind. We use AI tools to speed up research and drafts where it helps, but a human shapes, checks, and finishes the work so it reads naturally and says something real.
Do you optimize content for SEO and GEO?
Yes. Because we do SEO and GEO in-house, the content is built from the start around what people search for and structured so both Google and AI tools can use it. You are not getting words in one place and optimization bolted on somewhere else.
What is TwinCraft SEO Suite?
It is our own WordPress plugin: an AI-assisted publishing tool that helps you research, draft, and publish SEO-ready articles faster, with the SEO structure built in rather than added afterward. It is a separate product from our done-for-you services, made for people who want to publish content themselves.
Which platform does the plugin work with?
TwinCraft SEO Suite is a WordPress plugin, built specifically for WordPress. You install it on your WordPress site and it works inside your normal publishing workflow. It is not available for Shopify or other platforms.
Do I need to hire TwinCraft to use the plugin?
No. The SEO Suite is fully self-serve: you buy it and use it yourself, independently of our services. Our services and our software are two separate ways to work with us, and you can choose either or both.
How much does the plugin cost, and is there a trial or refund?
Current pricing, any trial, and the refund policy are shown on the SEO Suite page and at checkout. We keep those details on the product page so they are always accurate rather than repeating a number here that could go out of date.
Is there an affiliate program for the plugin?
Yes. You can earn a commission for every sale you refer, with a simple link and a monthly payout. See the affiliate program page for the current commission rate, cookie window, and payout details.
What does ongoing website management include?
Keeping the site updated and secure, making content and design tweaks as your business changes, and being there when something needs attention, so you are not left alone with it after launch. We scope this to what your site actually needs rather than a bloated retainer.
What happens if something breaks after the project ends?
Reach out and we will help. If it is something that came from our build, we will put it right. If it is caused by an outside change, like a third-party plugin update or a hosting issue, we will tell you plainly and can fix it as a small piece of work.
Who owns the finished work and its intellectual property?
You do, once the project is paid in full. The designs, files, and site are yours to use and build on. We may keep the right to show the finished work in our portfolio, and if a project is confidential we are happy to keep it private.
How do I know I can trust you before paying?
Both of our Upwork profiles are public, with real client reviews and a work history going back years, and you can hire us through Upwork's escrow if you want funds protected until you approve the work. We would rather earn your trust with a fair first project than talk you into a big one.
Will you sign an NDA or keep my project confidential?
Yes. We are happy to sign a reasonable non-disclosure agreement and to keep your project off our public portfolio if you prefer. Just tell us before we start.
